We are both delighted and honored to announce that Dr. Andrew Newberg will be conducting a special presentation at the Mind Body Spirit Expo--"How God Changes Your Brain."This talk will discuss our current understanding how various religious and spiritual practices and ideas affect the human brain. Brain scan studies of different religious and spiritual practices will be described as well as other studies that help us understand the impact of religion on the brain. Finally, the emerging field of neurotheology will be considered as an integrated approach towards understanding how the brain and spirituality is related.
Dr. Andrew Newberg is Director of Research, Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine and Professor of Emergency Medicine and Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University, and the author of How God Changes Your Brain and Principles of Neurotheology. He has appeared on Nightline, 20/20, Good Morning America, ABC's World News Tonight, National Public Radio, London Talk Radio and over fifteen nationally syndicated radio programs.
